Mr. and Mrs Dewesse visited Sunday with friends at Lima. C. D. Murray and son Harold, made a visit to Fort Wayne this morning. Mrs. E. A. Allen went to Winona this morning to visit for a few days with friends. The Hiokorys defeated the Blues yesterday at Steele's park by a score of 8 to 1. Rev. Brown returned to Auburn this morning. While here he was holding services. Mrs J. Urick and children, of Hammond, were in our city today, en route to Monroe. George Naohtrieb went to Preble today, to viist for a short time with Mr. and Mrs. Ferry. Miss Jessie Blossom went to Cincinnati this morning to attend the millinery opening. J. H. Davis returned this morningjfrom Portland, where he visited his family over Sunday. Miss Matie Auten returned to Fort Wayne this morning. She was the guest of relatives here Sunday . Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Smith returned this morning from Petoskey, where they were taking in the sights. Mrs. J. Fred France and daughter Jessie, of Huntintgon. were here today en route to Geneva, to visit relatives. MissJ Stephenson returned this morning to Portland after visiting here for a few days with Miss Fanny Rice. . Mrs. Isabelle France received a letter from her son Dick, this morning, stating that he, together with seventy-five other detectives, were now situated in Chicago, protecting the interests of the Pennsylvania railroad company during the big meat strike. He says fie is enjoying the best of of health and doing well.

Harvey Hocker returned to Marion today, after visiting here for a short time with relatives Misses Katie Bowers and Lena Schuenzer, of Lima, were in this city today enroute to Monroe. QUILTING PARTY Martha Society Had a Jolly Time at the Beher Home. The Martha society of the Washington M. E. church enjoyed an old-fashioned quilting Friday, at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Beher, five and one-half miles southwest of Decatur. Those present were Mesdames Ida Poling, L. Refer, Jane Barjinart, Celesta Briener, Lib Johnson, M. E. Toll, Myrtle Beher, Misses Lena Leimenstall, Sweet Barnhart, Olive Barnhart, Sadie Crist. Marie Briener, Orpha Toll.
