McDaniels & Bates moved their bunch of horses to Berne today, where they expect to hold a sale. Before going they gave a regular Indian war dance. Mr and Mrs James N. Fristoe returned this morning from Winona, where they visited this summer. They were accompanied home by Mis. Webster, of Chicago, who will visit here for a short time. Little Miss Glayds Flanders will be five years old tomorrow, and has sent invitations to a number of her? little friends, which say “I want you to come and play with me from 3 to 5, August 24. 1904.”
REPLEVIN SUIT John M. Baker Seeks to Recover His Horses. John M. Baker, through his a torney John C. Moran, has filed suit in the Adams circuit court against Emanuel Trioker. Baker alleges that he is the owner of a dark bay horse, two years old, and a brown colt, one year old,the value of both being $200; that said Tricker has unrightfully taken possession of same. Mr. Baker asks that his horses be returned and that he be granted damages for their detention. Notice to Contractors. Sealed bids will be received by the trustees of the M.
