Mr. and Mrs. Boyd, of Marion, was were in our city this morning, enroute to Detroit, to visit with their daughter. Mr. and Mrs. George Strickler and daughter Laura, went to Claypool this morning’ to visit for a few days with relatives. Misses Ida O'Mara, Madge McCaudlish, Ola and Emma Hurtle, of lan Wert, will anive tomorrow morning, and will be the guests of Miss Alice Hurtle.

Miss Lillie Lewton arrived this morning from Berne, and is the guest of friends. Miss Jennie Bright went to Lima. Ohio, this morning, to visit a few weeks with relatives.
Mrs. Jacob Buhler and family went to Marion today to visit for a few days with her sister. Mr. and Mrs. Kelley, went to Berne this morning, to visit over Sunday with relatives. Miss Irene Weaver returned today from Fori Wayne, where she was visiting with friends. Misses Blanche and Jennie Shackley went to Monroe today to spend Sunday with relatives. W. R. Neal returned this morning from Indianapolis where, he was attending to insurance busines. Miss AdelainFunkhouser returned to Berne this morning, after being the guest of friends here. Mrs. H. O. Bowerman returned last evening from Fort Wayne, where she was visiting with relatives. Mrs,. Sarah Barnett went to Howard City, Mich., this morning to visit for several weeks with her children. Rev. H. Biker, of Warren, was in our city this morning, enroute to Kimball, where he wil hold service tomorrow. The blind grafter was busy all day and seemed to be happy. If he can make a living the rest of us ought to be happy. Miss Bessie Gerard went to Fort Wayne this morning, where she will visit over Sunday with Mr. and Mrs James Gerard. Mr. Mrs. O. W. Calwell, of Charleston, 111., were in our city this morning, enroute to Portland, to visit with relatives. Ed Hall has been appointed guardian for Sybil Hall, the necessary jiapers having been tiled al the county clerk’s office today. A bouncing baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Michael oaffer yesterday. The attending physician Dr. Boyers, reports that Mike is recovering nicely. Mrs. John C. White received word last night that her mother who has been in failing health for some time, is growing much weaker, due to heart trouble. The granddaughter of Rev. G. W. Martin, of Monroeville, died yesterday, and Rev. John C. White will conduct the funeral services tomorrow afternoon. Mrs. D. W. Beery, Mrs. John W. Vail and Rev. and Mrs. White drove to Monroe this morning to attend the picnic to be given by the M. E. church there. Services at the Evangelical church Sunday August 21. Sibbath school at 9:15. Morning worship at 10:30. Subject, “Reconding With God's Favor.” Evening service at 7:30. Subject, ‘‘Good Tidings.” Ail welcome. A. B. Haist, pastor.
