Miss Minnie Orvis went to Preble today to visit over Sunday with M r and Mrs. Ferry. Miss Macy has returned to Marion, after visiting here for a short time with Mrs. Tom Miller. Mrs. Jennie Studabaker went to Bluffton today to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Mosiman. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Whetstone went to Venedocia, Ohio, today, to visit over Sunday with relatives. Crist Meyer arrived yesterday from Minster, Ohio, and is the guest of his son, Crist Meyer and family. Mrs. Mary Baumgartner and sen, of Berne, passed through the city today en route to Magley to visit with relatives. Clayson Carroll and E. Hart returned today from Mwood lake, where they had been camping for a week. Leonard Case will arrive from Huntington this evening and be the guest of Miss Pearl Briner, over Sunday. J. R. Thompson and family arrived this morning from Fort Wayne and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foughty. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shea were quite successful yesterday on their fishing trip, landing seventy-five fish, all being of good size. The case of George McKean vs. the City of Decatur, which is being tried at Fort Wayne, was continued last evening to be resumed Monday.
Mrs. Watson, of Geneva, visited in the city today. Mrs. Sellers went to Geneva today to visit over Sunday. John Schug made a business trip to Richmond this morning. Mrs. Mander, of Monroe, was a shopper in the city today. Frank Kramer, of Geneva, is in the city, the guest of friends. D. E. Laferty of Fort Wayne, was a business caller here today. Nelson Bricker of Geneva, was a business culler here today. W. O. Misses Agnes and Kate Havel, of Fort Wayne, are guests of Miss Francis Eiting. Miss Pearl Purdy returned this morning from Monroe, where she was visiting with relatiees. E. Smith and Roy Wolford returned today from Bluffton where they furnished music for a reception last evening. Miss Cole returned this morning to her home at Hillsdale, Mich., after visiting here for a short time with her brother. D. E. Siudabaker and family will leave August 1, for a months’ trip to St. Paul, St. Louis and other western cities. Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson arrived this morning from Huntington and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foughty. Miss Alberts returned to Elkhart this morning, after visiting here for a short time with Mr. and Mrs. John Kern. Unclaimed letters are at the post, office for Mrs. Lidda Johnson, L.W. Bloom, Mrs. Etta Smith, Miss Pearl Stetler, Jim Roser and Miss Laura Regetes. Mrs. Lawrence Boyles, of Chicago, and Mrs. Enos Taylor, of Huntington, returned home last evening, after a several days visit with John Niblick and family. Mr.and Mrs. A. C. Lowe and son will leave this evening for their home at Chanut, Kansas, after visiting here for several weeks with 'relatives.
