S. L. Syphus of Willshire was a J business caller here today. Miss Fay Smith'went to Bluffton today to visit with friends. B. W. Sholty made a business trip to Geneva this morning. Mrs. Doty returned to Tipton today after visiting here with her son. Jesse Smith and two sons made a business trip tojßlutffon today. Dale Peoples went to Portland this morning to take in the circus. David Looveall went to Portland this morning to tapke in the circus. Mrs. Sarah Hower went to Anderson today to visit for a short time with relatives. Miss Emma Widler went to Magley today to visit for a short time with Miss Lizzie McGill. Miss Marker went to Portland this morning to viist for a few days with relatives. L. A, Holthouse left this morning for Bellfountaine O. where he holds a sale so horses today. W. H. Fledderjohann returned today from New Knoxville, 0., where he was visiting with his family. Henry Chi arrirved last evening from Toledo O. and is a guets of Mr. and Mrs. Poodle Meibers. Mrs. Jesse Smith returned last evening from Blutffon where she was attending a birthday party. Harry Scott went to Rochester today where he has accepted a position as clerk in the freight department on the Erie. Mrs. J. M Smith returned to Portland today while here she was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Shaw. Misses Carrie Stookps and Alice Click went to Portland this morning while were the guests of friends. Bluffton has at last accepted Decatur's proposition to play ball here on July 3 and 4, and two warm games are expected. Both teams evenly matched and the struggle for , supremacy will be well worth looking at. There is no Celebration of any kind going on at Bluffton on July 4th. and this team should bring a large crowd of rooters with I them.

Notice from the city board of health as the season of typhoid fever ,choleia infantum and kindred diseases is now here and their origin is usually traced to bad filthy unsanitary surroundings, and such being the case, Notice is hereby given to all parties as well as property owners..that all filthy rubbish and obnoxious matter, cutting down all weeds in alleys and inside of their lots and disinfecting privy vaults and remove all rubbish from their premises within ten days from this notice. If at the end of ten days, said filth and rubbish is not removed same will be ordered done without any further notice by the city board of heatlh at the property holder's expense. Dr. H. E. Weller returned to Portland this morning. While here shejwas the guest of friends. Sheriff Butler made a business trip to Portland this morning and incidentally takes in the circus. Strawberries received fresh every day Martin’s for canning, at $1.25 for 16-quart case. LOST—A rather new five dollar bill somewhere between Deiningers Millinery Store and the Court House.
