Wayne this morning to resume his studies at the International' t Business colege. Mrs. Daniel D. Death of Rivare was yesterday stricken with a verv severe stroke of paralysis. Her condition is quite serious. There will be a meeting of Company B in the council chamber Thursday evening. Every member is requested to be present. Mrs. Crisie Lowe and son Grant of Chanute. Kansas, are in our city the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gast and other relatives. The Ladies Aid Society of the Presbyterian church will give a china and linen shower tomorrow evening at the church parlors. All are invited to attend. The two gentlemen living west of Linn Grove who found a silk parasol with chiffon ruffles, will please return same to Stafford’s flouring mill at Bluffton. Sheriff Johnson of Bluffton passed through here today enroute to Richmond. where he was taking a crazy man. While here he was the guest of Sheriff Butlsr. A fierce fight took place Saturday night near Patterson's floor mill, and from what we can learn, cne of the parties was used up. No arrests have as yet been made.

Charles Sims and family of Marion, were Sunday guests of J. B. Buhler. Mrs. Hendricks and family returned to Magley today. While here they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. Hendricks. Misses Edna Crawford, Maude Christain, Bertha Hart and Mayme Voglewede spent Sunday with friends at Bluffton. Miis Bessie Rinehart returned to Hartford City today , after being the guest of Misses Irene and Jennie Myers in this city. Edward Violand returned to his home at Ft. Wayne this morning after a Sundav visit the guest of Miss Clara Terveer. The two young sons of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Boyd are improving somewhat from the poisoning attack, and both may now recover. P. L. Ferry who has been attending I a medical school in New York City,has returned home and will spend the summer with his parents at Preble. Then* will be a social at Levi Johnson's one mile east of Honduras on next Saturday evening. iAn invitation is extended to the public. Charles Merryman, Charles Lock, Albert Sellemeyer and True Fristoe leave for Winona Lake this evening, where they will spend a week and hold forth as bachelors at the Hotel De Fristoe.

Erwin left today for Lawrenceburg, where he will act in the capacity of special judge. Mrs. Agnes Andrews and two daughters went to Fort Wayne this morning to make a short visit. Warren defeated Bluffton yesterday at Bluffton by a scoreof 9toß. VVe are at a loss to understand how it all happened and Mack Arbaugh umpiring. Warren is certainly entitled to a cromo for her good work. This | makes Bluffton’s fourth defeat.
