Spahr went to Van Wert today to visit over Sunday with friends. Mias Case went to Willshire today to visit over Sunday with her aunt. Mrs. Frisinger went to Marion today to visit over Sunday with relatives. Rev. Beibrick went to Willshire to-I day, where he will hold religious services Sunday. Tom Reed returned last evening from St. Louis and will spend Sunday with his wife. Mrs. L. G. Ellingham went to Winchester, today, to visit for a few days with relatives. Van Weaver went to Fort Wayne, this morning, to visit for a few days with his sister. R. J. Mrs. Jay Dorwin arrived today from Fort Wayne, and is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Coverdale. Miss Nellie Hale returned to Bluff ton this moining. While here she was the guest of Miss Fanny Hite. Mrs. George Kern and Mrs. Butler returned today from Fort Wayne, where they were visiting with relatives. Rev. McCarthy, of Hoagland, will preach both morning and evening tomorrow at the Methodist church. All are invited to attend. Messrs, and Mesdames Abe Stemen and Homer Krick arrived today from Fort Wavne, and will visit over Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Liby. Miss Donothan returned to A’an Wert todav. While here she occupied a position as teacher in our public schools, at which place she gave perfect satisfaction.

Jonn Moser made a business trip to Marion today. John Kern made a business trip to Berne this morning. Samuel Robbins went to Bluffton today to visit for a few days with his | aunt. Rev. and Robert Emsberger made a business trip to Fort Wayne this morning. Mrs. Clara Jefferies arrived today from Toledo and is the guest of her daughter. Warren Crawford left today for Marion, where he expects to make his future home. Rev. Mygrant returned to Waterloo this morning. While here he was the guest of his son. Mrs. Edge left this morning for Piqua, Ohio, where she will visit for a few days with relatives. Mrs. Dee Edington and eon arrived this morning from Fort Wayne and are the guests of relatives. Beginning tomorrow, May 22, the Burt House will serve Sunday dinner at 12:30 instead of 6 o’clock. Miss Calderwood returned last evening to Van Buren. While here she was the guest of Albert Acker. Harry Ehrsman and Albert Acker will leave tomorrow for Columbus, Ohio, where they will visit with friends. Miss Reyerly returned this morning to her home at Knightstown, where she will spend the summer. While here she was employed in our public schools. Miss Luzadder left this morning: for Indianapolis, where she will visit for a few days and then return to her j home at Shoals, where she will spend I the summer. She will keep in touch with the doings of our city by reading the Democrat. Niblick & Company have completed the work of carpting the German Reformed church with one of the new i est patterns of ingrain linoleum. The improvement is quite noticeable and the job is one of the largest of the kind ever put down in Decatur. The large barn of George Brewster, of Jefferson township, was totally destroyed by fire early Friday morn ing. The contents including implements, hay and grain were lost, only the horses being saved. The barn was insured in the Continental.
