Between the ages of twenty and thirty years the maximum of suwi des from grief, chagrin and from being crossed in love occur. Between twenty and thirty, too, fall the maximum from alcoholism, insanity, despondency, domestic front - le and tear of disgrace. From thirty to xorty come the greatest numbers from business losses and ill health. Females have a tendency to commit suicide at an earlier age than males. Through courtesy to Mr. and Mrs. Lingerfield and Miss ISweitz r we wish to make a few remarks pertaining to their ability, that the readers of the Democrat may kno w something of their achievemei ts as opticians. As we hive ob.-erv ■ i and in fact paid particular attention to the many words of praise spoken of them by the leading I newspapers of Ohio, and especially by the newspapers in ...ir adjoining counties, which endorse tuem emphaticalys having but few equals in their knowledge of the eye. In consideration of these flattering I remarks relating to their phenomenal ability. The Democrat has no hesitancy in corroborating them that all sufferers of delect: >e eves may know of these people and may lie benefited as thousands of others have testified. There correction of the eyes is based on rentenoscopic ' and ophthalmic tests given by the aid of the dark room. Their costly outfit embraces the latest discoveries and improvements of professional ajqiaratns for the correction of the most difficult cases, and a s|»I cial feature of the examination is that it is free and performed by people who have had a whole life ■of study and experience, who are also highly spoken of in the optical journals as being eminent authority on errors of refractions. These opticians have a series of towns, | ten in number, that they go to twice a year. They intend to include Decatur in their circuit and I will visit our city every six months.
