Mrs. Augsberger went to Delphos, Ohio, today, to visit with her daughter for a short time. Grover Huffman is here from Fort Wayne, and will visit over Sunday with his parents. Mrs. F. Haughton went to Poneto, today, after visiting here for a few days with relatives. W. E. Patterson returned to Fort Wayne this morning. While here he was the guest of relatives. George Bley arrived this morning from Fort Wayne to attend the funeral of his sister. Mrs. Warrior. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Winans returned today to Poneto. While here they were the guests of relatives. Miss Mabie Winans has returned to her home at Pleasant Mills, after visit here for a short time with friends. Mr. and Mrs. J. Kelley returned to their home at Van Buren, today, after a pleasant visit with relatives in this city. Mrs. Meihls returned this morning from South Whitley, where she was attending the United Brethern Sunday school convention.

Wayne and is visiting with his father. Miss Hattie hammer num left last evening for a visit with her parents at Ossian. Joe Bennegraff has moved from North Eighth street to West Madison street. Dr. Beardsley went to Berne today being called there owing to the sickness of Dr. Franz. L. A. Holthouse returned this morning from Chicago, where he was attending a horse sale. Miss Lizzie Augsberger left today for Delphos, Ohio, where she will visit a short time with relatives. Poodle Meibers went to Ft. Wayne last evening to see his sister Mrs. Theodore Droppeleman. Women’s Junior prayer meeting will be held with Mrs. Dan Beery tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. Miss Kittie Smith and Miss Blanche Rice who were visiting in Redkey returned last evening. Mrs. Snyder who was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Cook returned to her home in Warsaw last evening. Mr. and Mrs. Votaw arrived last evening from Middletown fora visit with Mr. and Mrs. H. Merica. Miss Steele returned [from South Whitley this morning, where she attended the United Brethren Sunday School Convention. Toddy Linn's wonders again administered a defeat to the High School team by a score of 11 to 5. Tod is certainly proud of his team, and now hurls a defi at any like organization in the city The feature of the game was the fielding of Charles Peterson and Dick Farrell.

Peter Bryan of Geneva was in the city last evening. James Edington returned last evening from Redkey. C. K. Niblick was in Ft. Wayne on buisness last evening. P. K. Kinney is attending to real estate business at Geneva. Mrs. Neueuschwander is visiting her daughter at Ft. Wayne. James Sullivan made a business trip to Berne this afternoon. Harve Smith and Frank Albright returned last evening from Berne. Burt Lynch of Jonesboro, Arkansas,. is in Ihe city visiting relatives. The Rosenthal Base ball team will appear next Sunday afternoon at their practice in their new uniforms.

A game has already been arranged for and Charles S. Peterson will lead them and try to wrest victory from the Rosenthals. The game promises to be a warm one and will give the fans a nice line on the new material and see what they can do under five. No admission will be charged and the fans may all be present and see the work out if they so desire. The Rosenthal line up will qe uannounoed later. Wells county has always borne the reputation of producing prize winners but A. W. Bown, a young medical student of Bluffton has all preious records “skinned” according to the following from the Bluffton News: “A W. Brown, son of Asa Brown who returned from the Indianapolis medical college Sun* day, broughtwith 'him the corpse of a negro who was partly dissected at the school. It is now reposing snugly in a box at his home at the corner of South and Bennett streetsj He will finish the work of dissecting, will clean up the parts and will put the bones together into a complete skeleton.” The Black Hills, in the southwest part of the State of South Dakota produces one third of the gold found in the United States, and is said to be the richest one hundred square miles in the wold.
