The train that is due here at three o’clock in the morning on the Erie was six hours late and arrived here at nine wihch was due to the high waters in the east.

Miss Myrtle Burkhead is on the sick list. Ihe Faylor-Studabaker case is over at last and the attorneys are glad of it. Mr. and Mrs. Ehle went to Fort Wayne this morning to visit with their daughter. Milliam Robison returned to Berne this morning, he was a business caller here. Miss Della Clark went to Monroe this morning where she will spend the day with friends. Miss R >sie Swank went to Fort W ayne this morning to visit for a few days with relatives. Bart France arrived last evening from Huntington and will visit over Sunday with his mother. W. Berger arrived from Berne this morning and will visit with his parents for a few days. Miss Myers arrived this morning from Fort Wayne and will visit for a few days with relatives. Mrs. Noah Merrioa of R. R. No. 4 who was reported as being dangerously ill is a little better at this writing. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Wisner went tn Monroe this morning where they will visit over Easter with her parents. Miss Fruchte returned this morning from Berne where she is teaching school and will visit over Easter with her parents. Miss Johnson returned this morning from Berne where she is teaching school and will spend Sunday with her parents, The Fornax Roller Mills are unable to run at present on account of high water, it being three feet in 1 their engine room and their machin- ' ery standing in water. The residents of Delphos are considerably wrought ud over the likelihood of losing the Clover Loaf rail road shops. Latzenhizer returned to Willshire today after transacting legal business. Oroil Pains returned to Franklin after making a short visit here’with relatives. Another little touch of winter, thank you, just to make us appreciate spring the better. Miss Mattie Young arrived today from Willshire and will spend Sunday with her mother. Miss Goldner went to Fort Wayne this morning where she will visit over Easter with her sister. Mrs. Mary Johnosn and daughter arrived from Warren today and are the guests of George Martin. Clem Studabaker and George Johnson leave Tuesday for North Dakota where they expect to spend the Summer. Jacob Bullenbaugh returned to his home at Geneva. He was a member of the jury in the FayorStudabaker case. Cigarette leads to craps, craps leads to playing the horse races, lead to larceny, larceny leads to burglary and burglary leads to state prison. These are the words of a New York magistrate and there is more truth than poetry in them. Walter Johnson, of this city, went to Tocsin this morning, being called there by the serious condition of his mother, who fell late yesterday afternoon and broke her right leg just below the • knee. Mrs. Johnson is past fiifty years old, which fact alone makes the injury quite serious. Charles Smith, the horse dealer has disposed of his team of roans at a good figure. Yesterday Beery and Rice, horse buyers from Decatur, were in the city and while here they bought the team. They paid for them the sum of $440. This]} team, has frequently worked on the streets and it always attracted much favorable comment wherever it was seen.—Bluffton Banner.

Miss Blanche Runyon went to Bluffton today to spend Sunday with her parents. A small runaway occurred on Mercer street this morning without doing much damage. Harvey Harb arrived from Geneva last evening and will spend Sunday with his mother. Miss Passwaters arrived from Willshire todaj’ and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. McGonagle. Mose Krohn went to Toledo, Ohio, this morning to buy new furniture for the Burt House Case. Mrs. Will Cordua and son went to Pleasant Mills today where th*y will visit over Sunday with her parents. Miss Mayme Brake and Miss Eleanor Forbing have accepted a I position in the tailor shop of Myers I & Hostler.
