The old St. Marys river at this time is the highest that it has been for the last twenty five years and seems to be at present at a stand still. The lowlands surrounding are all overflowed and water has backed up as far as Steele’s Park and part of this place is under water. In all probability the water w ill commence to recede in a few days and all future danger will be over. Reports are coming in from a'on »the line concerning the damage that the water has done and farmers will be greatly relieved when the river once more assumes its natural course.
