Tester and family on South Nutman street. C. Hart of R. R. 3, has moved his family and effects to Rockford, Ohio, where they will make their future home. Mrs. F. M. Schirmeyer entertained at dinner Mrs. Dell Locke of Bluffton and Mrs. L. G. M Hingham of this city. The Womans Baptist prayer meeting was held at the home 6f Mrs. Cy Wearer on Fourth street, Wednesday afternoon. The price of wheat is steadily decreasing as rapidly as it increased and thq man who waited too long for the highest price will now have to content himself with ninty cent, wheat. The top price was 11.08.

Steele returned this morn ing from Geneva where he was transacting wind mill business. John Harmon and wife are the parents of a healthy, real, fat boy baby and are happy accordingly. Bert Nichols of Coldwater, Mich., is in the city today looking after the Jackson Cement company’s interest. Dr. Dick Neptune and family, of Decatur, spent Snuday in Willshire, visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Neptune.—Willshire Herald. W. H. Myers arrived today from Fort Wanye and will be the guest of Jesse Sellemeyer. Miss Nettie Moses returned today from Fort Wayne where she was the guest of her brother. Mrs. W. H. Daniel arrived from Fort Wayne today and will spend Sunday with her dauhgter, Mrs. C. C. Schafer. The Young Matrons Club mot this afternoon with Mrs. French Quinn. A number of outside guests were entertained. J. D. Hale’s delivery team took a notion to run away today, which resulted very disastrously for the wagon and harness. The remains of a soldier who was killed on September 3, 1899, in the Philippine Islands, passed through here today enroute to his parents at Manistee, Michigan. Garrett Berling was out driving this morning, the first time he has been out of the house in five months. He is recovering nicely and hopes to be able to attend to business in a short time. Miss Madge Hite entertained a few of her friends last evening at 1 her Winchester street home. The | evening was wiled away by playing I cards and numerous other games. Music was also furnished by some lof her guest and a good time in ! general was had. During the eveni ing a fine two course luncheon was i servefl and at a late hour departed for their homes after voting Miss I Madge a fine entertainer.

R. & I. turned a train of seventeen cars of furniture over to the Wabash. The consignment is in transit from Grand Rapids, Mich., ito St. Louis, and is the furnishing complete for the Hotel Jefferson a new hostellry that will be opened in the world's fair city soon, and is valued at more than 150,000.
