A FAKE STORY A Geneva Correspondent’s Vivid Imagination. Says Votaw Was Fatally Hurt in Scrimmage With Christman. The following fake dispatch hus 1 een M-nt out from Geneva: “Geneva. Ind.. Jan. *—Charles Votaw and Rollo Christman while under the influence of liquor became involved in one of the most serious fights in the history of Geneva. The trouble arose over a dispute in settling for a lunch they had eaten. After clinching they rolled down a stairs and off the sidewalk Christ man had seized a bottle of catsup. | with which he struck Votaw over! the head after reaching the gutter. Votaw was rendered unconscious "by the blow and did not recover for more than an hour. It was not though he was much injured at first, but physicians now have slight hope’s for his recovery,, as his skull was fractured. No arrests have' Ix-en made." There is nothing to the report
further than that two men had a T • buttle with tliier fists about a | month ago, were arrested and the I cases settled, afterwards Votaw took sick with quinsy and from this must have started the story. He has moved and is able to be about now. FINE MEETING. -I Col. Fred Rcppert Attends Meeting of Swine Breeders’ Association. Col.
