Poneto has raised the saloon license t from SIOO to $l5O. The license is far I from prohibition in a town as good as Poneto. C. are requested to be at the regular meeting on Friday evening, the 18th inst., at 7 o’clock sharp. Important business to come before the corps and it is necessary for all to be present. The old town clock, which has told the time of day to so many people of our city for many years, certainly fooled its most adherent admirer yesterday when it refused to speak out the time of day after 4:20 o’clock. It may have closed owing to the cold weather which would affect it, it being so high.
