A LOVE LEAST. District Meeting to be Held Dec. 31. Captain W. R. Myers and Judge Ellison of Anderson, Will Speak. In another letter from the Hon. J. A. M. Adair announcing that Decatur had been given the honor of entertaining the democratic district meeting, on Thursday, December 31,he says that it is his intention to make the occasion an old fashioned democratic love feast. He has already received assurances from Captain W. R. Myers and Judge Ellison, of Anderson and before the time arrives a host of good speakers will have signified their intention of joining in one day of demoeratio oratory. The business of selecting a member of the committee will take but a short time, and then the balance of the day can be given up to hearing the eloquence of the speakers. The idea will meet general favor here, and wo predict an inspiring audience will greet them. Generaly speaking the Adams oounty democracy are just itching for another oimpugn and they will welcome this the opening with open arms. All corners of the county sh mid be represented at this meeting. It is the first meeting of the kind to lie held here and this is additional reason for a generous turn out. Let us welcome the visitors with that cordiality th it will leave a pleasant memory of «ur city and of our people.

it is catching. Typewriter Cramps is the Latest and Fashionable Ailment. "Typewriter cramps,” You never heard of that, did you? “T’is the very latest disease out. If you are a young and pretty typewriter girl you had better take notice. Typewriter cramps have just made their debut, as wo write in society. The moral of the tale is: Don’t stay in the tpyewriting business as long as eight years. Only to those girls typewriters who have been employed in offices eight or twelve years old the typewriter cramps become an affliction. Beginning with a terrible pain in the fingers of the hand, the typewriter cramps generally extend up the afflicted arm. So terrible is the acute pain that not even a sheet of paper can be held in the hand without experiencing actue agony. First in the fingers thou in the entire hand, and up the arm the pain goes creeping gradually. Agony in moving the arm results, and a portion of the pain settles in the elbow muscles. Gradual ly the pain creeps down the side of the body adjacent to the afflicted side. Nor will the cramping pain go away. Medicine cannot induce it to stop. The suffering is continuous. DOLLAR GIFTS. FANCY GOODS. The Bead Craze Will Soon Start in Decatur C. L. Calderwood, of Des Moines. lowa, has been a guest at the Burt House for two weeks past. He is engaged in selling bonds and by the way he has sold a bunch of them while here. He is also a member of a firm at DesMoines, who do a mail order business on fancy bead articles. They buy the beads in Europe and employ Indian women to make them up in beautiful purses, watch fobs belts and ladies coats. The work is perfect and Mr. Cilderwood carries a small line of his goods with him to advertise his business. He had one belt which contains every color known to the bead world and is about the prettiest fancy belt we ever gazed upon. While the beads are rather expensive the Indian labor is obtained so cheap that the goods can be sold at a very reasonable prices. SOLD BELGIANS. Bert Wolf Secured Fancy Price for Hares. Bert Wolf of Root township, is acquiring a reputation as a raiser of fine Belgian hares. Recently he shipped four does to the Eastern Importing Company at Macon, Mo. Yesterday he received his report and his rabbits scored from 90 1-4 to 93 1 4 points out of a possible 100. They were graded by Judge R. J. Finey of Macon, who is considered the best judge of this stock in the country. The report is a splendid one and Bert is justly proud of it. He received a good price for his Belgians.
