Charles Conrad who has been working at Hammond for the jiast two years is visiting with his ]>arents. The wedding of Charles Wertzberger and Miss Clara Rumschlag was announced at St. Mary's church yesterday. The marriage will take place week after next. Oil Prince, owned by Charles Ahr won first prize in the show ring and champion sweepstake at the decent fair. A colt sired by Oil Pfinoe and owned by Theodore Beatty also secured a first premium. Rudy Lehman of Berne was in the city today and informed us that in a few days he would leave for the wes<, where he Wonld join his wife. They expect to soon locate in Some ' jiart of California, where the climate is suitble so the health of Mrs. Lehman.

Harding and family for several 1 days, returned to their home at Ohio f City. j If ever a man was surprised yesterday, it certainly was Jeremiah Arch bold who lives about one and one half miles east of Decatur, when 1 twenty six of his friends and rela tivea made known to him the fact that it was his seventy-fourth birthday. Mr. Archbold was presented with a handsome chair, and from all reports an enjoyable time was had by all present.
