The meet- . ing will be full of interest. Miss Lucile Porter, daughter of Dr Miles Porter of Fort Wayne and well known here was married at 8:30 last evening to Dr Ben Weaver of Danville. Illinois. The affair occurred at Trinity church and was one of the most elaborate weddings in the history of Fort Wayne. They will reside in Fort Wayne Dr. Porter and Dr. Weaver having formed a partnership.

A fellow over at Huntington claims that his grandmother who died September 2, left 218 descendants, eleven children, seven of them living; sixty-eight grandchildren; ! one hundred and twenty great grand children and eighteen great, grea grand children, two of whom are fourteen years of age. The survivors of the EightyFourth regiment of the Indiana volunteers held their annual reunion at Hartford City yesterday. The attendance was larger than for several years. The roster shows 406 survivors of this regiment, and so far us known but eight of tLia number are in the soldi* rs I home. Their next reunion will be ' held at Ridgeville. From Portland comes the story that money was used to carry their i railroad subsidy election. The story I is that the sum used was 12,500 and I that this was placed in the hands lof a rather prominent man son dis- | tribution as he thought would best serve the purpose of which it was intended. However a feeling has been engendered.it is said, right in the camp of the railroad enthusiasts by u rumor or well-founded suspicion that the man who handled I these finances only used in the I neighborhood of fifteen hundred dollars, thus putting himself to the j good some like one thousand dollars.
