He will visit hero next week and will catch for the Rosenthals in the Bluffton-Decatur game. Clyde Wagner, the Ossian pitcher, has signed for next season with the Milwaukee League association at a handsome salary. Mrs. Hiram Gregg will leave about the first of October to join her huslmnd in Chicago, at which place they will take up their permanent residence. Hr. Gregg is associated in the commission business there and is thus far getting along quite satisfactory. It seems that the citizens of Camden are following in the footsteps of other crusaders against the saloon element, and yesterday destroyed the Club room in which liquors were sold, by dynamite. The proprietor of the Club and building knows the offenders, and will at once commence action for damages. The Bluffton newspapers have the unlimited gall to attempt the defense of umpire Mac Arbaugh. They do this too knowing his unsavory reputation as a base ball umpire and which extends back twen ty years or more. It is certainly discreditable enough to steal the game, but to set up a line of defense is rubbing it on too thick. J. W. Lower went to Warsaw this morning to attend the annual Northern Indiana Conference of the United Brethren church. Decatur is included in this conference district and a minister will be appoint-; ed to take charge of the church here. It is earnestly hoped that Rev. She alleges that her husband has an in”-1 come off 1,500 monthly from oil i royalties and owns 50 lots in Mun- 1 cie. Cruel and inhuman treatment are given as the cause of divorce. She says Cebert is worth <150.000. Mock &Sons are her attorneys — Bluffton News. The Erie company are ballasting : their track with gravel and from one to three trains per day are received at points near this city. It is now a hard matter to secure good gravel and what is u ed here comes, from a point beyond Marion. Ohio, j Their track through this city is ballasted with cinders but such material is so light that it can only tie used in yards. Each and every character in Mr Robert Downing's new play, "Hon. John North," are so well drawn, that it is almost impossible to say ( which is the best, the part of "John North” Count de Valois.
