ON FOX RIOGE.
The Republican Fever Sfrikew the Boy*. Club Organized. On Fox Ridge Tuesday evening a rousing republican meeting was held and a large club was organized. The school house was filled to overflowing many standing outside at the windows and the enthusiasm for the. grand old party was un bounded. Several buggy loads of people went out from the city. Speeches were made by Albert O. Loekridge, H. C. Lewis and Chairman Case. The addresses were made in plain language, well pointed with illustrations and the “boys of the ridge” were not slow to see that their best interests are in voting the republican ticket and in standing by protection, reciprocity and sound money. A club of forty-seven members was organized. Joe Johnson was elected president, Louis Schaechtel secretary. George Wood. Albert Browning, Wm. Browning, and Messrs. King and Crawley were named as vice presidents. The principal address was made by Mr. Loekridge, who effectively set at rest the pictured beauties of free silver. The club will meet again on Tuesday, September 15.
