His son will enter the university this fall. The account of Saturday’s game between the Hubs and Rockville should be printed in blackfaced type with a sable border around it. The score was 30 to 2 in favor of Rockville. The spirit of the Hubs seems to be entirely broken this time. The result was brought about by numberless eirors by nearly all of the home team. Higert pitched a good team until his supporters went to pieces, he fanning out Rockville’s best man atjthe bat twice in three innings. The score at the end of

They went to Lafayette this afternoon where they will enter the Soldier’s home. John Q. Vermillion, of Clinton township, tried to make a few arguments on Saturday in the court house yard after the Williamson speech. Mr. Vermillion is the proud possessor of an English pound. He flourished it in the crowd Saturday and asked several people what it was. Some failed to answer him but Anally he struck one young man of this city, who at once told him it was an English pound. About two minutes afterwards Mr. Vermillion held up the coin and stated in his speech that no one had been able to tell him what it was. He misrepresented, for his coin had been recognized but a minute or two before he spoke. Editor Akers, of the Cloverdale Graphic, and Editor Martin, of the Greencastle Democrat, indulged in vigorous and animated discussions of the financial question on the str ets Saturday. There is no law against any one holding a street corner discussion, but the opinion of the Banner Times is that an editor can best serve his party and uphold the dignity of his high calling by discussing these questions through iiis paper. His opinions will then have more weight and more dignity than in any other place. Rev. Frank Wilson Gee. of Mattox chape), has been appointed by Geu James R. Ross, commander of the Indiana brigade, U. Mr. Ader spoke particulady for free silver as the poor man’s friend. When money lenders and bond-holders like Mr. Ader talk of free silver being the poor man's friend, the statement should be handled with a pair of tongs.
