C. A. Foy, of Pittsburg, of the Pent - sylvania system, is making trips over the Vandalia system observing the running of trains, especially the fast ones. He i* seeking to learn where the time can lie reduced as the shortening of the schedule i* being contemplated. Mr. Foy will continue Ids runs for about a month. The running time will he considerably lessened ln‘tw*-en Greenea*tle and Indianapolis, and it i* rumored that next year will see the doubling of the track* from Terre Haute to Indianap-
olis.
All Die Easter services were largely attended last evening. The seating capacity at most ot the hou*es being over-taxed. Especially was this true Die Presbyterian church, where a special musical program wa-given. At l.oeiist street a fine program wa given with many musical selections. A large audience was iu attendance at both College Avenue and the Christian churcnes where special programs were given. At the former place the children famished mueli amuse i eiii. mil happy manner. Mr. and Mrs. Potter arrived home Sunday evening and are stopping at present at the home of the bride's parents where they will remain a few days before going to housekeeping. They are two of Greencastle’* best known young people, and though their wedding was a surprise to their friends, it was not unexpected, and they are today receiving the congratulations of a host of friends. The groom is one of the most industrious young men in the city and he w ins as a bride a young lady who has many friends, being one of the most popular clerks in the city, at present with Allen Bros. The Banner Times joins in the
congratulations.
