Typhoid Fovor. Typhoid is now admitted by alt scientists to be caused by a venom microbe that swarms by the million in the tissues of the small intestines, producing fever, delirium, extreme prostration, putfifaction and death. The medical profession has earnestly sought a reliable antidote for this mortal plague and found none. Hence it is a bold, an almost startling claim, (a claim never before dared to be made for any remedy,) that Brazilian Balm, alone, will positively cure Typhoid TYPHOID BACILLUS. Fever in any stage. This great discovery was the result of a woman’s faith. Mrs. L. B. Bradway, of Wilmington,Del., believed the Balm would do almost anything. Hence she gave it in 6 drop doses, every three to five minutes, to a young lady in the last stage of Typhoid, fehe had been given up by the doctor, who said ,hc could not live half an hour. To the surprise of all she quickly revived and recovered. Since then it has been used by laymen, nurses and physicians with uniform success. How U cures was then a mystery; but it is now fully settled that it promptly destroys every Typhoid bacillus in the sy . m. It etaunches the hemorrhage, b s i he whole alimentary track, and, i _..d of t 'na slow, tedious convaleste .-e, ft stoves to health and strength • i: i"g rapidity. //Oir Ulan WILL IT HE! In a recent speech Ex Governor McKinley said: “l cannot better answer this great question than by an illustration used by the late President Lincoln. Some one had asked him how long a tuan’s legs ought to be, and he replied That’s a very serious question, and I have given much thought to it a great many times. Some should be longer and some shorter. But 1 want to tell you that a man’s legs ought always to he long enough to reach from his body to the ground. ‘•And so I tell you, my inquiring free-trade friend, that the legs or the next republican tariff law will be long enough to (irmly support the American body politic.” The democratic editors at Max inkuckce last summer refused to take up any of the great issues and resolute on the same. They drank the lake water up there and other stulf, then resolved that Maxinkuckee was a pretty good summer resort and there quit. The republican editors last week passed some resolutions which would help make a splendid National platform. We quote from them as follows: Resolved, That we are unaltera bly attached to the great cardinal doctrines of the republican party, the equality of all men before the law, fair and free elections to reflect the will of the people in all of the states in (lie Union and the lev}’ and collection of a tariff on imports so judiciously applied as to provide sufficient revenue for all the necessary expenditures of the national government, including the pensions of the surviving soldiers of the Union and those depending upon them, and at the same time afford ample protection to Ameri-
