Tomorrow evening at Carbon at the Carbon M. E. church, will occur the wedding of Rev. William W. Pack and Miss Lucy B. Girton. Rev. D. M. Wood will pronounce the ceremony at eight o’clock. The regular meeting of the Home Columbian club was held Isst evening at the home of Will and Albert Graham on north Jackson street. The topic of the meeting was Egyptian life and customs as portrayed in “Uarda.” The obsorbing topics of the day are of a political nature. It’s a very difficult task to draw any information from any one except concerning politics. We feel that we are not mistaken when we say that the ladies will not be at all sorry when the nomination is looked upon as a thing of the past. J. J. Turner, general manager of the Vaudalia lines, is fast shaping up matters to the Pennsylvania standard, and with this he is becoming very jiopiilur with subordinate officials and emuloyes, and bis administration of the affairs of the company bids fair to tie as popular as that of any former management. To make money you now must be willing to spend some. Many seem to think that it is only a new article that needs advertising hut Miat is a great mistake. Let every man advertise his war-s; others have made fortunes doing it. Nothing is too common to have its sale materially increased by newspaper publicity. Judicious advertising is not only the liest way to make customers, hut it is the cheapest as well. It gets them and it keeps them for you. There is strong competition now in all lines of business. You need advertising to give you your share of th® trade, and you need i't done in the most skillful and Intelligent way. The best advertising medium in this neck of the woods is the BiXNEK-TlMKS.
