A. F. Jacobs, who recently started into into the theatrical business as manager of a company of his own, lias closed the season. This became necessary through the breaking of some of the complicated magic apparatus, which could not be replaced in less than six weeks’ time, and taking the lateness «f the season into consideration, it was deemed tiest to close the season as stated before. This company will start out Sept. 1 with a larger company and will only play in towns and cities capable of supporting them in three and six night stands. Manager Jacobs lias recently been to Chicago placing contracts for stand work tor neTt season. Many of the member of the company are New York people. They will take the road next season as ’‘The Jolly New Yorkers.” with the roster made up as follows: (/’has. Win. L. Hyten, of Parkersburg, and Miss Lulu Sewell, of this city, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Sewell, went north on the Monon at noon. To a Bannkk Timks man Mr. Hyten stated that he and Miss Sewell would he married at Crawfordsviile this afternoon at three o’clock. Mr. and Mrs. Hyten will reside for t lie present near Parkers-
burg. where he owns a farm.

Mrs. Messer, who was declared insane several days ago, was taken to the insane asvlum at Indianapolis this after-

Mrs. Mary Matson, who antlered a stroke of paralysis about a week ago, is recovering slowly. Mr. nnd Mrs. Richard Breeding, of E linburg, are visiting Mrs. J. W. Jacobs. A child of Henry Runyan, of Marion township is seriously siek with pneu-
