Men whose voices have been heard frequently in church services, in long and loud prayers for the suppres sion of the whisky traffic, refused to sign the remonstrance, for fear it would hurt their business or injure their political inspirations. If the professed Christians and temperance men of Lebanon would exer cise one halt the zeal and courage possessed by the whisky men in a practical way, there wouldn't be a saloon in Lebanon in eighteen

months.

They gave various names from va rious places. ' It is known that these live came from Greencastle and they were ail drunk. They claimed that they brought a quart ot alcohol from Greencastle. They will he bound over to circuit court. The tramps were brought to this city today and are at Sheriff Glidewells. They are a tough set of roosters. •
