Mrs. Mary Carr. ofWashington township, was examined yesterday for recommital to the insane hospital. The examination was in favor of her recoramital. Dr. Gobin visited Lafayette Sunday and assisted at the dedication of the Congress Street church of which Rev. H. L. Davis is pastor. The Lafayette Courier says of Dr. Gobin : ‘‘Dr. Gubin preached a powerful sermon in the evening, taking occasion to do honor to those who have been so active in the work at Congress Street church. His remarks were most appriipriate coming from thoughts of deep concern for thos< he knows aim loves so well in the hill top church. Motion to Quuh Prevails. In the case of State ot Indiana vs. John Vermillion, perjury, a mo tion to quash the indictment was argued yesterday in circuit court.
