Mrs. Jane Richardson, mother of Jesse Richardson, died at her daughter's, Mrs. W. D. Wallace, near Stilesville, on yesterday. Funeral will occur today at Stilesville. Her age was 75 years. The regular meeting of the Gentlemen’s Literary club will he helu next Monday evening at half-past seven o’clock, at the residence of Dr. Stephenson. Mr. G. C. Moore will present a paper on “How it Looks to a Layman." Judge S. M. McGregor, Col.C.C.Matson, Mra. Houpt and Miss Houpt, of Hutfalo. New York, Mrs. Gordon Kerfoot, of Brazil, and Mrs. Dave Kahn, of Indianapolis, were guests at a dinner party given by Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Williamson ou Wednesday. All the Greencastle papers speak highly of Mr. Smith, who is employed by Walter Musser at the Parke hotel barbar shop. Mr. Smith came to Rockville with the intention of buying a half interest in the Parke shop, but as it was not for sale he accepted the offer of Mr. Musser to work at one of the chairs.—Rockville Tribune. The Monon shops at Lafayette a|'6 practically completed and have cost as a plant $400,000, of which sum the city of Lafayette contributed $100,000. The works are not yet in full operation, but already have three hundred or more men at work. The machinery is all of the most modern and approved type and not only can repair work be done but an engine built entire. Messrs. D. L. Anderson and E. L. Harris gave a supper last evening at the office of Cole Bros, in honor of the birthday of Mrs. J. W. Cole. Messrs.
