Mrs. Georgia Kennedy, who has been visiting here, went to Brazil this afternoon. The Monon passenger department has issued a souvenir book of views of the Atlanta exposition. Kev. Harvey Hitch and family left today for their future home at Mound city, south Dakota. Yesterday afternoon from two to six o’clock Miss Kosalie Baker and Mrs.

The W. C. T. U. will meet Thursday at 2:110 in College Avenue church. After the regular business a mothers’ meeting will be conducted by Mra. Florence Martin. This Purity department seeks to establish a single code of morals and to maintain the law of purity as equally binding upon men and women. It also has in view a dis tinct effort to impress upon the minds of boys and girls the ahso lute demand of religion and physiology for purity in word, thought and deed. Newhouse today, the meeting of the Woman’s Home Missionary society was postponed until tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, the21, at Mrs. K. E. Tilden’s home on south Water street, 2:80 o'clock as usual. R. S. Tennant is now concluding the purchase of the old Bhipinau coal mine at Silverwood from a Detroit company. About 100 men will he employed, for whom Mr. Tennant intends building houses at Cayuga, running a work train to ami from the mines each day.— Terre Haute Gazette. A number of our soldier friends have received the prospectus of the new Indiana State Soldiers Home to he built at Lafayette. The book is a neat one and shows plans of building views of grounds and surroundings. The maps show the proposed location of the cottages to be built by the < otimies.
