We were mistaken in our Saturday’s column when we stated that the members of Kappa Kappa Gamma sent Mr. Laidacker to I. UT. to get Jack. The Kappas loaned their support but many girls from other sororities did also. Will Sparks returned today from Oxford where he spend Sunday. The ’97 Mirage board met this morning and transacted some important business. Everything is favorable for getting a special train to Louisville Thanksgiving and a $2 rate. Dick Itallard, formerly' of ’98, of Plainfield, is visiting Sig brothers and triends. Miss Dora Elliott's brother from Kokomo will be here in a few days to visit and attend the Kappa party. The Michigan vs. Purdue game Saturday was 12-1C in layer of the former. Now the thing is to beat Butler. Osgood, I. U. coacher during the first part of tins year, is now coaching the Light Artillery. Saturday night the Independants initiated W. 0. Liattle, Frank Blackman, Mr. Wiley and Dir. Thackery. Shireman, White and Lockridge are out hunting this afternoon. Herb Barbour, left tackle of the I. U. foot bull team, spent Sunday visiting friends. Mr. Barbour thinks that I. U. can swipe Butler. Mr. Puett is sick at the Beta

house.

The manager of DePauw university obseryatory was notified today that a bright new comet with a long tail was discovered at Boston yesterday. Manager Mead and Coacher Wade will go to Indianapolis this afternoon to see Butler on foot ball business. Messers. Long and Pinnell de parted today for New York city where they will spend a few days “Polly” Ruick has been engaged to coach the high school foot ball

team.

Thanksgiving week promises to be a very' busy one socially. Ernest Swindler of Plainfield, manager of the Plainfield acad my foot ball team, is here making arrangements for a game with our second eleven. Professor Johnson anil Stephenson were out hunting this morning. Messrs. Shumaker and Johnson of Indianapolis, are visiting Sigma Nu brothers and friends. THE NEW PULLMAN.

Thus,- cars are the finest that have ever been turned out of the Pullman shops, and are duplicates of the magnificent cars on the New York and Chicago Limited. They are divided into nine rooms, each room containing a double lower and upper berth of the pattern used in the open sleeping ear. The rooms are much larger than the staterooms in the largest steamships; each room being furnished in a different colored tapestry from its neighbor, and containing a wash-stand which is built into one corner. This wash-stand is arranged so that it is really a receptac'.e for hats, bonnets and small articles; also containing a clothes brush, nair brush, comb, etc., and by pulling down the metal handle a large silver wasli basin is brouglit into position, and right above the basin are two faucets, one for hot and the other for cold water. In addition to this is a faucet connecting with a drinking fountain of ice water. In the oilier corner of the room is a handsomely cushioned seat which can tic turned to one side, exposing the closet, Electric hells and every convenience that can possibly be crowded into a hotel room are in these compart ments. The prices are the same as in the standard open sleeping car, and our patrons have the choice, as we run one car of each pattern on every night train of the C. 11. & I). and Mouon, between Cincinnati and Chicago, both to accommodate those who do not know the advantages of the new car ar.d prefer the the old style on account of familiarity with them, and to enable us, except in great rushes, to give every one a lower

berth.
