H. J. Hark, who lias been here for several weeks buying apples for PottHtzer Bros., Lafayette, left at noon. During ids stay here lie bought over 7000 barrels. The Vandalia 1ms alt its power in service for tlie first time in many months, and tlie train crews, which are paid by the trip, are making their largest wages in a long time. The Vandalia will next year give tlie matter of interlocking signals and switches at points where it crosses other railroads, some attention. TIiankDZivinK Foot Ball. There is a prospect of having an all day foot ball season on Thanks giving in Greencastle. For years most of the floating population of this city has floated over to India napolis and spent their good dollars and shouted on Indianapolis grounds. Now, thanks to our new Athletic association the system is to he changed and this year Green castle will be in the push on that great foot ball day. Arrangements are in process of making whereby there will he a morning and an afternoon game of which more will be said later. In the meantime prepare to see foot hall at home this year. Death of Dr. 8. A. Kean. Rev. S. A. Keen for several years pastor ot Roberts Park church in Indianapolis is dead at Delaware, Ohio. Dr. Keen was well known among the Methodist people of Indiana and had visited here number of times.
