Wm Dill* and Joe Lloyd each shipped a car load of cattle to Chicago today. There was some money put up here yesterday at two to one on Bloomington, aad the Bloomington sports therefore got what is known the speculating parlance as a “criss-cross.” P. E. Smith, of the Palace barber shop, has sold his interest in the business to J. C. Taliman. Mr. Smith will go to Rockville this week where he will engage in the barber business. The Historical society will meet tills evening in G. A. R. hall. We have been furnished with no regular program but learn that Mr. T. C. Hammond will give a paper on tlie “Early Colored People of Greencastle.”

Mrs. William Callahan left at noon today for Hammond where she will spend a few days with relatives.
