Dr. Thomas M. Tucker, of Salem, died last Tuesday of a complication of diseases. About fi^ve years ago he suffered a strokeof paralysis, and recovered sufficient to resume his practice but was in feeble health. His last illness confined him to his room for four weeks. Speaking of Dr. Tucker who was the father of Dr. W. W. and .1. B. Tucker of this city, the Salem Republican Leader says: Dr. Thomas M. Tucker was born in Washington county, Did., August 2.'>, 1828, He worked on his father's farm, and attended district school until nineteen years old, then attended Washington County Seminary at Salem for a time,and later Honover college, which graduated him in For six months he was in charge of the Livonia Seminary, succeeding which he studied medicide with Dr. Fishback, and attended lectures at the Cincinnati Medical col - 1 lege, from which he received his degree as “M. I>r. Millrr's >u11’i New York, Nov. 2.—The body of Dr. Winfield 8. Miller, at one time practicing in Fort Wayne, who committed suicide ou Weduesday iu this city, has been sent to St. Chur. Mich., for interment there. Dr. Miller was once wealthy. He had a good practice as a dentist in the west and was also well known in the east. Some years ago he and his wife were divorced. Since then Dr. Miller had been drinking heavily and in the course of a few years his money was dissipated. Two years ago, when in the depths of despondency, he attempted suicide in Chicago.

Dies JKrom His Wounds. South Bend, Ind., Nov. 2.—Adam Wunderlich, who was shot three times last Saturday evening by Ephraim Brick, died yesterday. The fatal shot struck him in the abdomen. They were quarreling over a broken window and Wunderlich, who keeps a saloon, refused Brick a drink. Brick, who was released ou bail, has been rearrested.
