The students nnd professors have shown marked respect for Col. Weaver and family during their bereavement. Col. Weaver has been with us so long and has so gained our admiration that there is not a single heart in the university that does not beat in tender sympathy for him during his sorrow. Messes. Burlingame and Handley were initiated into the Delta Tau fraternity Saturday night. Edwin Cook spent Sunday at

Terre Haute.

Chas. Downs was at home in Terre Haute over Sunday. The Thetas gave a supper at the springs Saturday evening. Chas. Kepner, of Indianapolis, called on friends here Saturday. Mr. Beeekmnn, l) 1 .*, spent Sunday with home folks at Clinton. Messrs. Chas. Beard and Gideon II. Dial went driving to Fern Saturday afternoon. The Alpha Phis were driving Saturday afternoon. .Messrs. Boiler, Peters and Hodge were initiated into the mysteries os Phi Delta Theta Saturday night. Messrs. Flank Preston and Frank Foxworthy will be here in a few days to visit friends. There was no foot ball practice Saturday evening. The second order of foot ball supplies consisting of shoes and shin-guards, have been received. The team is now fitted out in first

class style.

Foot ball practice this evening promises to be far better than usual. A regular game will probably he played between the first and sec-

ond elevens.

Mr. Sherfv, of Brazil, was here yesterday visiting friends. Prof. Johnson returned from In dianapolis this morning. The seminarium table has been moved into Colonel Weaver’s room and hereafter the seminarium class will do its work there.
