Ful ore. Senator Vorheen 10 L.e<*ture. Sixty Alumni liave agreed to pay .tlO to make up the deficit in the department of Oratory and Rhetoric. The alumni are deeply devoted to the welfare of the university and some movements are being planned which will result in systematic and efficient efforts for the ineiease of the endowment. Senator Vorheea lias consented to give in Meharry Hall, Wednesday’ night, Oct. 1«, his new lecture on “The Holy Sepulcher.” All the proceeds of the lecture will be devoted to the university. The lecture is the outcome of the Senator's conflicts with doubt and unbelief and is, in substance, a statement of the reasoning and experience by which he came to a full belief in the divinity of Christ. The lecture has been read privately to a lew friends and they consider it a wonderful production. It will produce a profound impression
throughout the country.

Ii the free-traders are not satisfied to compare tiie imports of 1895 with those of 1894, why are they so anxious to compare the improvements in business, as represented by bank clearings and the better treasury exhibit made this year with those of Ihp4? What is sauce for the goose is feauee for the gander. The Indianapolis Journal says: “Many of the Journal's state ex chages now coming to hand contain the annual reports of township trustees, required to be published hy a law passed by the last Legislature. The preparation of these reports devolves some additional labor on trustees, and their publi cation tests the typographical resources of some newspaper offices, but the law is a good one. It is likely that she will be well enough to bring home the latter part of this week. Mollie Gibson” was a most promising colt and it is very unfortunate not only for the owner but the county, that her usefulness seems to be at end. We hope, however, that after a short rest she will be herself again and go forward to make a very low ree ord, which her admirers so confidently expected of her this year.—

The Bloomington World adds the following to the above: “It will be remembered that Cron’s Dr. Snyder died at this place the same week after a short illness that was suspicious. “Mollie Gibson made some fast time on the track at the fair grounds in Bloomington last fall and was a favorite with the old horsemen hereabouts.”

It is the duty of everyone, whether at home or travelling for pleasure or business, to equip himself with the remedy which w ill keep up strength and prevent illness, and cure such ills, as are liable to come upon all in everyday life. For instance, Hood’s Sarsaparilla is a a general tonic, and to keep the blood pure and less liable to absorb the germs of disease, w ill be well nigh invaluable. Change of drinking water often causes serious trouble, especially if one has been used to spring water in the country. From a few “drops to a teespoorifnl of Hood’s Sarsaparilla in a tumble of water will prevent the water having any injurious effect. Mood's Vegetable Fills, as a cathartic, cause no discomfort, no disturbance, no loss of s'eep, but assist the digestive organs, so that satisfactory results are cltccted in a natural and regular manner.

Return Addrest. The Banner Times stated the other day that the government lias gone out of the printing business so tar as printing envelopes for business firms is concerned. This was true and not true. The government has quit printing envelopes with return addresses on them when there is an advertisement ot the firm’s business on it. The government will continue to print envelopes but will print only the address. Easy Knouicti.
