jury full and there was no use bothering about the matter. Mr. Harrison's ideas on currency are best exI pressed by his actions. He gave us an administration that provided for the wants of every one, iueludj ing Uncle Sam, and the people had ' no worry on money matters. We believe if Mr Harrison is given an other chance he will again place the country in such a shape that no county newspaper will be wanting to know his opinions on the currency question. The currency question will settle itself just as soon as the people know that such a wise statesman and patriot as Indiana's favorite son, has the reins. The Indianapolis Journal this morning has the following editorial : ‘The Greencastle Bannkk Times is offering its democratic contemporary a premium for citing any cases of advanced wages before the late election—which is a base scheme to induce the contem porary atoresaid to waste his time.”

Telephone about the charges in the
News, said:
“The Greencastle people are Irving to hide the defeat of their pet Co. I by our Company H by accusing the Bloomington hoys of robbing a restaurant while watting for a train. The facte as tlie}* occurred are about these: Co. H arrived over the Big Four about au hour and a half late, and the company had to wait about an hour for the train. During this time most of the members of the company visited the restaurant and bought and paid for all that was eaten. The woman in charge was paid well for everything, and if there was any robbery it was when the boys were charged 5 cents for a small piece ot ham and a half dozen crackers. These facts are true and can he substantiated by traveling men of Chicago and Indianapolis who were with the boys. The first that the officers or men knew of any such accusation was this morning upon reading the Indianapolis News. I will demand a correct statement to be made of the affair by papers reporting such
false statements.”
In regard to the above statement Capt. Fee of Company I, says there was no contest between Company I and the Bloomington company and there was no rivalry; that the Greencastle company did not enter the Anderson contest as it was short a second lieutenant and therefore there was nothing for a rivalry to occur over; that his com pany had, however, beat Bloomington on May 27 in regimental inspection and that is the only contest in which they have been pitted against each other. Mr. Thompson through Capt. Fee has sent a bill to the Bloomington company for $;» for the nine watermelons and other articles taken. There were no threats accompaning the claim, but there is a determination here
to have the matter righted.
Speaking editorially today the
Indianapolis Journal says:
The Greencastle Banner Times charges that the Bloomington com pany of National guards raided the restaurant of William Thompson, while the train stopped there at 2 o’clock in the morning. The charge having been made, the proper mili tary authorities should investigate the matter and if possible ascertain if any person wearing the state’s uniform has thus dishonored it, or
if it is simply a falsehood.
The Banner Times printed Mr. Thompson’s statement with our comment thereon. There is at no place more anxiety to have the charge proved true or false than here. Capt. Fee and Mr. Thompson state that there are two members of Company I. together with a car inspector at the north depot
that can give all the evidence in ! . vur ‘l full of his friends, m-iglilxn-s, w ith the matter {hut is needed. The ' a 1,is ’ ,!,bl, ‘ - , ‘ l "" ,, ' r B'.* shade

It is not only in the country, but also in man}’ of the yards about town and may be recognized by its prickly leaves. In many cities of the state ordinances have been passed against it and the matter should be taken into consideration by our city council and our county commissioneis now while its extermination is comparatively an easy task.
