Those who Irnti heard llie voting pianist on former occasions anticipated a line musical treat and, it is needless to say, were not disappointed. The two Beethoven sonatas (Op. 69 and Op. ‘J7, No. 2) were so skilliully and delightfully given as to disarm criticism. The group of Chopin compositions also, and. more espe dally, the Wagner-Liszt Spinning song, attested the faithfulness with which .Miss Case pursued her post graduate studies and the great extent to which she lias perfected and matured her artistic tahnt. Mrs. Pauline Blake Nowhnuse, Greencastle’s favorite vocalist, assisted in the program with two charming songs. Although suffering from a cold which somewhat affected the usual exactness of her intonation, she sang with the hell like clearness characteristic of her voice. Mr. Schellschmidt who played the cello part of the opening number, proved himself once more the well schooled, dexterous
musician.
Altogether, the recital furnished a notable example of the painstaking care and thorough training w hich the school of music bestows
