AX KVKNINO WITH DICKKNS.
The ladies’ hall people and a few invited guests enjoyed a very delightful entertainment last evening. The Theta sisterhood had prepared a unique ami interesting program of “Scenes from Dickens” for one of their own regular sessions some two or three weeks since. By special request they repeated the entertainment to the large assembly on last evening. They had prepared bandpainted souvenir programs for the occasion, each one decorated with their own special flower, the pansy. The scenes were chosen from Old Curiosity Shop, David Coppcrfleld, Oliver Twist, Dombey and Son, Bleak Iluiise and Nicholas Nickclby, and were admirably interpreted and rendered. These with an additional reading and a recitation occupied a most enjoyable hour and a quarter. The entertainment was given in I’hiloinathean ballon the third floor of ladies' ball, which was exactly suited to the occasion. Immediately after the literary program Mrs. Mansfield, Miss Fernic and Miss Rowley

IVTo DISEASE has ever presented so many i v peculiarities as LaGrippe. No disease leaves Its victims so debilitated, useless,
sleepless, nerveless, as LaGrippe.
Mr. D. W. Hilton, state agent of the Mutual Life Insurance Co., of Kentucky, says: “In 1H89 and ’90 I had two severe attacks of LaGrippe. the last one attacking my nervous system with such severity that my life was despaired of. I had not slept for more than two months except by the use of narcotics that stupefied me, but gave me no rest. I was only conscious of Intense mental weakness, agonizing bodily pain and the fact that I was hourly growing weaker. When in thiscondition, I commenced using Dr. Miles’ Restorative Nervine. In two days I began to Improve and in one month's time I was cured, much to the surprise of all who knew of my condition. I have been In excellent health since and have recommended your remedies to many of my friends.'' Lo"' -’J' 1 *,, Jan. 22.1896. D. W. Hiltosi.
