Clarence was just ready to take a train for Vermont where he has a car load of horses billed for a sale. The summons will cause him to put off his sale and lose two nights and as many days exploring Brown county. They go as witnesses in a case against Terry McGinniss. Carl Steeg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Steeg. was ten years old Saturday, and the event was celebrated by giving a party to his young friends. Thirty-six happy faces graced the affair with their attendance, and the afternoon was a lively and pleasant occasion, replete with childhood’s games. Master Steeg received many neat and handsome presents, and in turn dispensed handsomely decorated, hand-painted china Easter eggs as souvenirs. Emma Bicknell, Lulu Steeg and Hattie Lancaster assisted in entertaining the guests.
