THE LOCAL FIELD

A team of horses hitched to a hay wagon, and belonging to J. K. M. Hamrick, were scared by a train at the Big Four depot yesterday afternoon and ran away. On the square they colided with a wagon standing at the rack and both vehicles were somewhat injured. The Globe Democrat of Tuesday had a long account of the effects of the late John Norton, killed in the Coatesville wreck. The diamond ring which disappeared at the wreck has not been recovered. It is a very heavy polished ring set witli a big diamond and was worth several hundred dollars, being a present from Mary Anderson. The general fire alarm at 7:15 o'clock last evening was caused by a blaze at the residence of John King on Fox Ridge.
