Colliver’fi Pro« «***ion and Speech. That democratic procession of

last evening should be embalmed and placed on ice. It was a daisy.

In imitation of the republican cohorts that marched over to Fox Ridge last week, the democrats tried

to have a parade last night with

the result that they failed. All there was of the ‘ procession'’ was a boar skin band and a bicycle.

That was all. There wasn’t a voter in the crowd and as the gallant lads

swung into Washington street from the court house, where they had been drumming for an hour, a dull

cold-blooded thud fell upon the city. The band marched out to

Bloomington street via Hanna and picked up ( barley Talbott and Dan Darnall, then as if ashamed of its

size marched on the ridge via the

Cloverdale pike, not daring to show its shape to the south Greencastle people. At the school house there were just ninety people. This number included twenty-two women
