2:21. Coon Hollow Jack, a young horse he has on the track, won a novelty race and a 2:50 pace, the latter in 2:24$. Tonight at the residence of Dr. .John the members of College Avenue church will give a welcoming reception to Dr. Hollingsworth, their new pastor. The republicans of Greencastle will form a club on Saturday evening, and Hon. John L. Griflith, of Indianapolis, has been secured as the speaker for that evening. He will draw a rattling big crowd. The grand jury reported today to Judge McGregor and weredis missed. They returned indictments as follows: Petit larceny 1, carrying concealed weapons 2, assault 1, assault and buttery with felonious intent 1, forgery 1, selling to minor 2, selling w ithout license 1, converting mortgaged property 1, disobeying subpoena 1. Fire on Tuesday afternoon wrecked the house of Charles Frakes west of Hainbridge. The residence was a frame structure of eight or ten rooms, and was insured for one thousand dollars in the Ohio Farmers’ company-. Mr. Frakes also had $:!00 on household goods.
