A meeting of the athletic board was held last evening in Biddle hall. Measures were taken to secure foot-ball suits. No officers were elected. Trips and engagements were discussed, but nothing definite was settled. The faculty notified the board that no long trips could lie made and that no games could be played under the old rules.

The young couple will commence housekeeping next week at Chrisman, 111. The bride has many friends in Greeneastle who will extend congratulations. Frank Kleinbuh, Roy Abrams, Will Graham and Mack Ricketts are seeing the state fair today.

Frank holds a good job in the Missouri Pacific railroad yards. On Tuesday evening U. T. Ashley’, the alert guardian of the peace, laid a trap for the parties who make raids nightly on the coal cars belonging to the coal dealers of this city. The trap was a success, and the offenders were located as prominent residents of Keightleytown. Yesterday witnessed the re movul of the coal from several coal sheds to the cars. The matter was left at a standstill with the assur j ance of no more trouble. John Sallis is moving from the country to this city.
