Governor Matthews returned to Indianapolis at 8 :34 today. Col. Johnston anil his good nature occupied a place on the stage. The hoys regret to see General Manson's increasing feebleness. The committee lias the thanks of the i public for a splendid entertainment. Governor Matthews and party were loudly cheered ugon their entrance. Lieutenant Starr’s nerve did not desert him it ids music did. His encore was alright. President and Mrs. John occupied seats on the platform and w ere interested listeners. The orchestra played well but might i have worked in a little patriotiie music with good grace.
