for the evening is “The People and Country of Korea.” Members and
visitors are invited to be present. People from all parts of the city
flocked to the Union band hall last night to see and hear of the much talked of trance religion. The house was filled to its utmost ca pacity, and large crowds filled the doorway and streets. A young lady, apparently nineteen or twenty years ot age, was overpowered by the spirit of this new religion and remained under its influence for nearly an hour. The meeting broke up at about ten o'clock with-
out further demonstrations. Forest Webster was eight years
old on yesterday and gave a party to a number of his little friends in honor of the occasion. The afternoon was spent in playing numerous children’s game. Supper was served and a good time reported by all. Those attending were: Karl Bunten, Albert Lueteke, Willie Callender. HimIbom Ill■urau<'*. An advertisement won’t work maricles, it won’t sell ice in Greenland, nor snow shoes at the equator. It will sell overcoats in July if they are cheap enough, but a seasonable ad. of seasonable stufi’ is always
best.
Dull season advertising must be considered in two ways. As advertising and as insurance—insurance of business—insurance against loss of trade. Sneh insurance should be plaeed on the same business principles that dictate the placing ot lile and (ire insurance. Pick out the strongest companies—the best papers. Business insurance—advertising —is better than the other kinds. They repay the losses caused by misfortune. Advertising prevents the misfortune.
