Mr. ('. B. Case delivered a K. of P address at Cloverdale yesterday. He was accompanied by Misses Pearl Meltzer and Ida Orrell and Win. t urtiss Hughes. On Friday afternoon at three o’clock the Knights of Pythias will test their strength and agility at base hall with the Odd Fellows. The K. of P. boys are practicing this afternoon. Rev. Mrs. G. D. Thurman, of the Michigan conference of the A. M. E. church, preached last night at the A. M. FL church, and the discourse was extra good and was highly enjoyed by all whom had the pleasure of hearing it. An overturned lamp in the residence of George Grubb on north Jackson street caused a tire alarm from box 41, last evening about eight o’clock. Tlte fire department made the run, but no water was thrown. The damage was slight. Prof. W. V. Brown, of the MeKim observatory, asks the Bannkk Times to announce that tlte observatory will he open front 7 to 10 o'clock cat it evening this week. Any one will be admitted, students or citizens, and no tickets will he
required.
The wedding of Miss Idell Wilson and Mr. Lemuel Buis will take place at tlte residence of Mr. J. T. Wilson on south Locust street Wednesday, June 13, at 3 p. m. Miss Wilson is one of Greencastle’s most accomplished young ladies. Mr. Buis resides at Belle Union and lias a large circle of friends in
this city.
The combined postottice and gen eral store of Ben Cline at Carpentersville was robbed on Friday night. Burglars entered and stole a lot of stamps, jewelry, goods, no tions and other stud’, ('line wrote to this city that some diamonds were in the plunder. The burglars made a good itaul and are not identified at last accounts. The court house ring was photographed this morning. They formed a group of beauty and mismanagement as they stood on the north steps, and the camera stood the try ing test nobly. Tis well they did this, as this will be about the last opportunity they will have. The hand-writing is on the wall. They go in November and that camera will thus preserve what will be but a memory after November’s ides. The families of W. B. Vestal, Albert Albaugh and John H. Piercy took tea yesterday afternoon at the home of Joseph Allen, Putnam county’s successful auctioneer. Strawberries tlte size of ordinary walnuts and jersey cream richer than Australian gold were served. The guests join in saying that to have the honor of enjoying tlte hospitalities of the occupants of the graceful old Allen homestead is like breathing for the time the atmosphere of earth’s sweetest clime. Company I arrived home from their trip to Cannelburg on Satur day evening about 8:30. They came from Bloomington via special train and were met at tlte depot by many of their friends, though the hour of their arrival was not certain. The boys marched up street in soldierly style and their appearance reminded one of the old days when tlte veterans arrived home
from the war. The boys were greeted by much applause and repaired at once to the armory where they stacked arms, unlimbered and then hastened home to friends, wives or sweethearts. The boys put in yesterday teiling stones and news of their camp life experience. They ate being busil}’queried these
days.

The following reaches the Ban nek Times this afternoon Ity mail: The class day exercises of tlte senior class will begin with the campus program tomorrow morning at 8:3o instead of 9 o’clock, as oth erwise announced. The indoor exercises will begin at 10 o'clock. Admission is by ticket, every seat being reserved and attendance limited to the capacity of the hall. This precaution is necessitated by the crush of last year. Only those holding tickets will be admitted to corridors of east college.
