Wll TAKE TAINS to aee that every man and woman coming into our store gets a proper tit in shoes. In some stores the salesmen are ladies and let vou take away a shoe that tits indinerently, to save themselves the trouble of rumaging through the shelves for the proper thing. It costs us nothing to take special tronbk, and we tind the satisfaction it gives customers makes it well worth our while. A single ill-tilting pair of shoes is enough to start corns that will last a lifetime. Trading at a store whenvou are sure to get nothing but ‘‘tits’' means NO TAINS L. L. LOUIS & CO. vot/.

The county ticket as nominated l\y the Hendricks republicans on Friday last was as follows: J. W. Hamrick, representative; Mel FL Masten, clerk; W. II. Nichols, auditor; Perry R. Tulley’, treasurer; Wm. L. Wilson, recorder; John T. Bell, sheriff; John W. Trotter, surveyor; O. II. Barnhill, coroner; A. T. Dooley and A. S. McCormick, commissioners; O. E. Gulley, prosecutor and J. V. Hadley, judge. The list published on Saturday was incomplete and not quite correct. On Sunday three tlamps ran the gauntlet of the vaccination artists at the jail and sought information into the mysteries of the order. One of them had smallpox marks in profusion and he gave the grip and pass word without trouble. The second fellow escaped by having receipt for some good vaccination scars, but the third was behind in his dues and hadn’t even his rank pass word. He whispered “Jesse James’’ in the outer guard’s ear but High Flxecutioner Bence said while that sounded something like it, it didn't go in Putnam, so the candidate was initiated, taking the de gree with the sharp pointed virus at the same price. He had a scar on his arm but it wasn’t “pitted” enough. Thus closeth the reading of the vaccination lesson of the
Sabbath.
