Miss Ella Brattin returned to Indianapolis this afternoon. Miss Beauchamp returned last night from a visit to Tipton. Wallace Hollingsworth leaves for St. Joseph, Mo., this afternoon. W. W. Jones was called to India napolis this morning on business. There will be regular meeting of the common council this evening. B. F. Bruner will move to the country in the near future, probably this week. Rev. R. M. Black anti family, of Indianapolis, are visiting old acquaintances in the city. Mr. F. A. Hays leaves today for the east on a business trip. Mrs. Hays will accompany him. The Daughters of Rebckuh last night initiated Misses Clara Moore, Della Moore and Lizzie Meikel. M. M. Bnchelder, of Ladoga, arrived in the city on an early morning train and left for Brazil this

Mrs. Adam Gnsmere, who has been visiting her son. Frank Grismere, returned to Oxford, Ohio, this morning. Mrs. John Gainer and children, of St. Louis, arrived this afternoon to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cawley. A. M. Cole, formerly of DePauw university, graduated last night from the Medical College of Indiana at Indianapolis, and took the first faculty prize of |50; and, also, the Mears gold medal. In mentioning the visit of several young ladies to Raccoon in our yesterday’s issue, the types used the name of Miss Edna Allen ; it should have read Miss Edna Hamilton.
