The Christian congregation of Greencnstle have been working along slowly but surely for a new church and last night they took the initial steps in the matter. An interesting and enthusiastic meeting was belt! in the chinch, and though but about fifty people were present.

Diamond Lodge, No. 34W, K.of P., gave a social at their hall Tuesday eve in celebration of the second anniversary of the Lodge. S[tecches were made by the following Knights : T. .1. Nixon. C. T. Peck, K. A. Wood and W. P. Sat kett. t^. L. Coojter and W. X. Evans entertained the crowd witii splenditl autoharp music. Fruits and nuts were served and till present enjoyed the eve.
