It took the jury in the ease of the State vs. John Met'own and Ben Nichols just five minutes today to declare the above named guilty of petit larceny and assess their punishment at three years each in the penitentiary with a fine of $25. McCown and Nichols are the south end fellows who robbed Vandalia freight ears so extensively. At the above rate Mr. Glidewell will soon complete his excursion.
