That was the last Snider supposed he would ever see of his pet. Fate had another end in store for his foxship, however. Snider is somewhat of a trapper, and in his quiet way hags considerable game. Munek* News.
The plant of the old Darnall iron works, now operated by the Muncie Muck liar company, will soon he operating in full, not only one turn duil}'. but double turn and all furnaces on. The new company have been steadily on the increase since her start last fall until now they are operating most of the mill. A deal has been consumated whereby the whole mill will be operated in both the new and old departments, |
double turn.
This new departure will be inaugurated during the present week, beginnum Monday. The Muneie company is finding a ready market for their muck bar, and have been working steadily since operations
lu»ve been resumed.
The Irondale company, of Anderson, which lately lost their plant by fire, have on hand 0000 tons of
pig iron which they are

down by the creek, baited especial ly for fox. He was successful and caught a specimen which was full grown with the exception that its body was greatly emaciated and and thin. Not knowing the reason, Snider skinned the animal for its pelt. When he reached the neck lie discovered the cause for the fox's gaunt, unhealthy looking body. There he found the collar he had placed upon Ins long lost fox. but it was so deeply imbedded in the fur and flesh that it was completely “out of .sight. - ’ Snider readily recognized it by the private mark he placed on it when the fox was Ids pet. The collar grew tighter as the animal grew older and larger, and the wonder is howl it ever managed to eke out a living so long as it did, as its neck was so compressed that it apparently was j unable to swallow the smallest article, let alone chickens and such other delicacies which delight the palate of a fox unhampered by a slowly tightening belt about Ids aesophagus. This fox story, the genuineness of which wo can hack up with affidavits, we will stack up against any other town’s fox story.
